    President Kenyatta Bids Farewell State house Staff

    NAIROBI,Kenya, Sept, 12 – President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Monday evening bade farewell to State House Kenya leadership team led by Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua.

    At a meeting, also attended by Head of Public Service Dr Joseph Kinyua, the outgoing Head of State thanked the officers for distinguished service during his tenure and advised them to serve the new administration with the same enthusiasm.

    Earlier in the day, also hosted President-elect William Ruto at State House, ahead of Tuesday’s inauguration ceremony at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani In Nairobi county.

    After the meeting, President Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta conducted the President-elect and First Lady in-waiting Rachel Ruto on a tour of State House as part of the official handing-over process.

    At least 20 heads of state are expected to grace the event where also at least 2,500 VIP guests and 60,000 Kenyans will be in attendance.

    Also, ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, at least 10,000 police officers will be deployed across Nairobi to ensure security and peace are upheld during the day.

    The officers are expected to regulate traffic within the area and across the city.
