    NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 13- United States Trade Representative Amb. Katherine Tai arrived in the country on Monday evening, ahead of Kenya’s fifth President William Ruto’s inauguration.

    He will be sworn in alongside Rigathi Gachagua, his Deputy.

    Amb Tai was received at the airport by US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman.

    She was picked by President Joseph Biden to lead a delegation of senior US officials.

    Also part of the US delegation includes Colin Allred, United States Representative (D), Texas and Mary Catherine Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of African Affairs, U.S. Department of State.

    Dr. Monde Muyangwa, Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Africa, U.S. Agency for International Development will also be there.
