NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 6- Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke and Grace Wakhungu were on Wednesday ordered to pay a fine of Sh1 Billion and in default serve 67 years jail term.
This follows an objection made by the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji which was upheld by the High Court.
The two appellants had filed an appeal at the High Court challenging both conviction and sentence.
They had further filed an application for bail pending appeal which was granted pending the hearing of the appeal.
Lady Justice Esther Maina dismissed the appeals by the accused persons.
The court held that the lower court properly convicted and sentenced the 2 over the loss of Sh297 million paid by the NCPB.
The prosecution team was led by SADPP, Alexander Muteti assisted by PPC, Caroline Kanana.
