NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct, 18 – Amid the ever-changing war on terror and even cyber security threats that face the county on a daily basis, president William Ruto has called on the country’s first line f defense, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the latest and most superior technology amid potential threats to the county.
The commander in chief of the defense forces said that the fast-changing technology is redefining national security and Kenya must be at the forefront of the changes.
“Kenya must develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the latest and most superior technology to counter special threats like terrorism and cybercrime that cannot be dealt with in usual conventional ways,” he said.
The government is now expected to provide policy and budgetary support required by Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to enhance the social and economic security of the nation in order to sustain the momentum of productive collaboration.
Ruto challenged KDF to develop solutions to confront threats with a futuristic mindset during the inauguration of The Moran Centre and official opening of the Formation Commanders’ Conference at the National Military Command Centre, Karen, Nairobi County.
