NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 18 – A Chinese national was on Thursday night robbed of Sh1 million by traffic officers during a traffic stop along Othaya Road, Nairobi.
The man identified as Liz Zhixin told Police that he was driving from Westlands on his way to the Junction Mall when he was stopped by the two officers.
Upon stopping he took his driving license, and one of the officers he said opened the back door seat where he found the Sh1 million.
The officer took the money and boarded their vehicle a Toyota Fielder and the two officers drove away, with one of them leaving behind his traffic cap.
The victim captured the number plate of the vehicle which is recorded in the police report. He handed the cap to his lawyer and made the report at the Muthangari Police Station.
