    JSC Names 20 New Judges Of High Court

    NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 1 – The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) Thursday, December 1 recommended 20 names of new judges of the High Court.

    Chief Justice Martha Koome who is the President of the Supreme Court said after lengthy deliberations and careful consideration of the performance of the various candidates and based on the constitutional imperative of merit, gender, regional balance and affirmative action, the commission recommended the appointment of the Judges.

    She said the names were submitted their names to president William Ruto for appointment.

    These are the names:

    1.   Gichohi Patricia Njeri

    2.   Ms. Mongare Josephine Wayua Wambua

    3.    Ms. Nyaundi Patricia Mande

    4.    Kavedza Diana Rachel Mochache

    5.    Ms. Chirchir Sophie Chebet

    6.    Prof. (Dr.) Sifuna Nixon Wanyama

    7.    Ms. Shariff Mwanaisha Saida

    8.    Nyaga Heston Mbogo

    9.    Chigiti John Mugwimi

    10.   Mulwa Peter Mutua

    11.   Nthiga Lawrence Mugambi

    12.   Mutai Gregory

    13.   Wananda John Robert Anuro

    14.   Mohochi Samwel Mukira

    15.   Olel Francis Rayola Ochieng Odhiambo

    16.   Dr. Githiru Freda Mugambi

    17.   Mr. Magare Dennis Kizito Ng’wono

    18.   Hon. Macharia Florence Wangari

    19.   Odera Teresa Achieng
