NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 19 – Baby Sagini and his elder sister have been taken to a safe house in Nairobi after being discharged from Kisii Eye Hospital.
Kisii Governor Simba Arati said after consultation with the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Gender and affirmative Action Aisha Jumwa they agreed to take the two siblings to Nairobi for rehabilitation and treatment.
“Today Had a talk with our CS for Gender and we agreed to take these kids to Nairobi in a safe house for rehabilitation and medication care,” said Arati.
Arati said one of the county vehicles was used to transport the children to the safe house.
Kisii Eye Hospital specialist Dr.Dan Kiage said the three-year-old boy is stable and ready to be discharged from the hospital where he has been admitted for a week.
His Elder sister was also rescued by child protective services from where she was kept following allegations of being followed severally by the stepfather.
Police officers have also launched investigations towards defilement allegations of Sagini’s elder sister.
