KISII, Kenya, Feb 2 – Kisii Governor Simba Arati has called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki to act and arrest the gangs operating as Bodabodas in Kisii town.
This comes weeks after the gangs attacked and injured at least ten people who were later hospitalised.
Governor Arati expressed his concern over the slow response from the Cabinet Secretary. He warned that the peace and industry that Kisii is known for could be destroyed if the government does not take action to protect the environment.
He was referring to the skirmishes two weeks ago when a bodaboda gang confronted a UDA prayer caravan, resulting in ten youths sustaining injuries.
