NANDI, Kenya, Feb 6 – Police in Tinderet, Nandi County are investigating the death of a form one student who died after corporal punishment by teachers.
Two teachers are under probe following the incident that happened over claims of cheating in exams.
Kelvin Kiptanui, 16, a form One student at Chemase secondary died at Nandi-Hills level 4 hospital hours after he was admitted in critical conditions after the corporal punishment at school.
The deceased, who was hardly two weeks old at the institution, is reported to have been assaulted by his teachers for making references in a Physics textbook during an afternoon Friday March 3 quiz.
