NAIROBI Kenya, April 24 -Police are investigating the death of a man whose decomposing body was found rotting in a river in Kasarani area.

The body was found in a river in Maji Mazuri area by locals who called police on Monday April 24 evening.

Police said the body, which seemed to have been swept to the scene, had been transferred to the mortuary awaiting autopsy and identification.

In the same area, police said a body of a man was also found by the roadside. It had stab wounds on the left collar bone, back and neck.

“Police officers found some groceries next to the body and Sh400 on him. Police said they found Sh400 on hi with some groceries. We have launched investigations to establish the motive and identity of the killers,” the local police commander said.

Elsewhere, police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in his bed in Dagoretti area.

The deceased identified as Harun Karani worked with Solar Panda at Chinese Centre and had not reported to work since April 20, prompting a search.

His colleagues went to his house and peeped through the window and saw him lying on the bed unresponsive. They then broke the door and found him lying dead.

Police who visited the scene said he had blood oozing from his mouth and are yet to know the cause of the death. The body was also moved to the mortuary pending investigations.
