HOMABAY, Kenya April 25 -A three-man gang raided a village and robbed at least four families before gang raping a 19-year-old girl in Rangwe, Homa Bay county on Tuesday morning.
The three men, armed with crude weapons stole household items including TV sets, gas cookers, gas cylinders, and electronics.
The gang that moved from house to house, also robbed them of cash and even forced one of the victims to transfer Sh2000 from his phone to another number.
They then dragged the girl from their house and two of them raped her in turns. Police said the girl was taken to the local hospital for treatment as they launch a manhunt for the gang.
“We have gathered sufficient information on the gang and the investigations are progressing on well,” the local police commander said.
