KAKAMEGA Kenya May 26- Two police from Kakamega Central Police Station have arrested over an escape of two remandees from the station’s cells.
Police constables Daniel Mwatela and Daniel Wanjiru are suspected of aiding the escape of Dennis Indeche and Allan Kemoli from custody.
According to a police report filed at the same station, Anne Akoth reported the two officers cleaning the report office when two male prisoners escaped.
She said the two escaped from custody by jumping through the window.
The two were remanded to station cells from Kakamega Law Courts and are suspects of robbery with violence.
An inquiry file of escape of prisoners from lawful custody No.1/2023 was opened leading to the arrest of the two police officers.

Dennis Indeche, had been arrested four days ago by sleuths from the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau, after being on the run for weeks.
He was wanted for numerous armed robberies in Western Kenya, including the attack on a senior DCI officer based in Kakamega, who was lucky to escape death, with life threatening injuries.
