    Probe Launched After Boy, 14 Found Murdered in Homabay

    HOMABAY Kenya June 20 -Police are investigating an incident in which a 14-year-old boy was found murdered in a house in Kowidi location, Homabay County.

    The body of the boy was on June 18 found dangling from the rafter of their house with a shawl tied around the neck.

    Police who visited the scene said the deceased’s body was found with visible bruises on both lips and ribs.

    The body was removed to Rachuonyo South sub county hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.

    Elsewhere in Naivasha, the body of a 40-year-old man was found on a fence after suspected electrocution.

    Police identified the victim as Stanley Kirwaia and suspect he accidentally fell on the electric fence that killed him.

    The body was moved to the mortuary.

    In Lomut, West Pokot, one Peter Kimarkach was found dead in his farm after being shot by suspected bandits.

    The body was found on a farm with gunshot wounds in the head and on the left side of his legs.

    Three spent cartridges of 7.62x39mm special were recovered at the scene.

    Police are investigating the incident. Cases of banditry have been on the rise in the area despite efforts to address the trend.

    Police say they are pursuing the gunmen behind the incident.
