Cop Stabbed To Death, Body Dumped On The Roadside

NAIROBI Kenya, June 22 -Detectives have launched investigations into the brutal murder of a Corporal of Police based at Nyayo police post in Nairobi whose body was found dumped by the roadside Ngei estate, Langata on June 21.

Corporal Mark Ayabei, hitherto unidentified, was found lying unconscious in a pool of blood, with two stab wounds on the chest, by security guards along Kitengela Lane in Ngei Phase II.

Officers from Langata police station rushed to the scene but he had already succumbed to the stab inuuries. The body was transferred to Umash Funeral home awaiting autopsy.

Detectives have recorded statements from some witnesses including the guards Tirus Otieno and Thomas Osoro.

However, the motive and the identity of the attackers are yet to be established.
