Fake Doctor Mugo Wa Wairimu slapped with a 3-year jail term

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 28- James Mugo alias Mugo wa Wairimu is set to serve a 3-year jail term or pay a fine of Sh1.4 million after he was found guilty of operating a clinic illegally.

He was found guilty after it was established that he was not licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Martha Nanzushi issued the ruling on Wednesday.

The quack doctor was also convicted for operating a medical laboratory that was not registered by the Kenya Laboratory Practitioners.
