NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 7- The Directorate of Immigration has downscaled operations in full compliance with a directive by President Uhuru Kenyatta, over the upsurge in COVID-19 cases of infections.
The directive is to all government departments.
But you might need to travel and don’t have a passport, or you need to renew it; what do you do?
Already, the directorate has canceled current appointments for passports submission applications and biometrics enrolment.
People with emergency travel needs like medical, scholarships, government assignments, or employment abroad can still get services.
Simply call the directorate through their hotline number 0110 922 065, during official working hours.
An applicant with an urgent need to travel will be required to provide documentary evidence.
