NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 19 – A pilot died after a light aircraft crashed near the Kenya Aviation Training School in Birika, Isinya, Kajiado County.
The pilot from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) was alone when the AutoGyro aircraft model Mtosport 2010 went down at about 7am on Thursday.
Police and witnesses said the accident happened at the Orly Airpark during a routine training exercise.
The plane was burnt during the crash.
Officials said an investigation had been launched to establish the cause of the accident.
Such accidents involving trainee pilots are common in the country.
