NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 22-A security guard was on Sunday evening killed by suspected robbers at the Mountain Mall, along Thika Superhighway.
The masked robbers stole an unknown amount of money according to the mall’s management and police.
They targeted a supermarket located within the mall.
“I saw them running…one was limping,” a witness told Shahidi News.
Those who witnessed the incident said there were four robbers and one was armed with a pistol.
Two had posed as customers according to detectives based at Kasarani police station.
“They were just strolling inside the Supermarket with products,” a witness said.
The guard was shot twice after he attempted to stop them, witnesses said.
“His body has two gunshot wounds, one in the head and the other one on his chest,” police said.
Police are pursuing the thugs who escaped on foot.
They’re also set to retrieve CCTV footage in an effort to identify the thugs.
