NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 8- Seven police officers who were on Monday injured in a shooting incident in Banisa, Mandera County have been evacuated and are expected to receive advanced treatment in Nairobi.
The officers were escorting two passenger buses when they were ambushed and shot at by Al-Shabaab militants.
Three people were killed during the incident.
Police say the gang escaped with few injuries after a fierce battle with the officers who were escorting the buses.
They grabbed three guns from the officers and escaped. Security operation has since been mounted in the area.
