NAIROBI,Kenya, June 14 – Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations are pursuing leads into the killing of a man whose body was found dumped inside a water tank in Sana Sana area of South B.
The man identified as Msanii by local residents, was found dead Sunday evening days after he was reported missing last week on Wednesday.
The owner of the popular car wash in Sana Sana area raised alarm following complaints over water pressure and upon a quick inspection of the tank the deceased was found inside.
“I had just directed someone to inspect the water tank and check whether we needed to fill the tank before we returned to work the next day, thats when at around 7:30 pm we saw the body of msanii.” Said the owner of the car wash.
Police have since canvassed the area, collecting evidence as well as interviewing several people on what might have happened between Wednesday when the deceased was reported missing and Sunday when his body was recovered.
Several exhibits have been admitted as evidence.
Meanwhile, several people who knew the deceased have been apprehended and are set to be questioned with police telling Shahidi News they may have crucial information that could establish what transpired.
The body of the deceased is being preserved at the Nairobi City Mortuary.
