NAKURU, Kenya, Aug 11- Three more people who had consumed an illicit brew in Nakuru County have died, bringing the total number of fatalities to eight.
The victims died at Bahati Sub-County Hospital while receiving treatment, county public health officials confirmed on Wednesday.
One of those who died was an expectant mother who had gone blind after taking the brew.
She had been rushed to the Nakuru Level Five Hospital for specialised treatment.

Officials said only one is now admitted at local hospital and was in a stable condition.
According to a Nakuru Government county official Gichuki Kariuki, the two victims succumbed while undergoing treatment at Bahati Sub-County Hospital while three others had died earlier on. The included the brewer and were confirmed dead on Tuesday morning.
Kariuki said the victims were picked from various locations, some of them being unconscious.
Officials at the hospital told Shahidi News that the victims started vomiting on Monday evening and complained of stomach aches.
The victims were being treated for alcohol intoxication and organophosphate poisoning.
Operations as since been launched in the area to mop those who may have consumed the brew and were at home.
Police are investigating the tragic incident, with the remaining liquor being taken to Nairobi for chemical analysis.
Such incidents are common in informal settlements in the country.
