IG Mutyambai In Algeria For ‘Silencing The Guns’ Meeting

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 22-The Inspector General Hilary Mutyambai, is in Algiers, Algeria for a regional meeting of top police commanders.

Mutyambai is the President of the African Police (Afripol) General Assembly.

He will conduct a presentation on the Afripol Operational Framework, and hold a virtual meeting to exchange views with members of the Bureau.

AFRIPOL is the African Union Mechanism for Police Cooperation whose key objective is to strive for continental peace and security, especially through its motto of “Silencing the Guns”.

Other interventions areas of interest are tackling transnational organized crime, joint training and operations, and counterterrorism initiatives.
