NAKURU,Kenya, Feb, 6 – Teacher B estate, a few kilometers from Kenyatta Barracks in Gilgil, Nakuru county was the scene of four tragic deaths.
According to preliminary reports, Molen Akinyi (deceased) is said to have killed her three children aged, 9,7 and 1 years respectively two days ago.
Residents after searching for her were drawn in by a foul stench at her home before finding their corpses.
“Her home was locked form the inside,” said residents.
Gilgil sub county police commander John Ondit confirmed the incident, adding that police were called to the scene by neighbors.
“It looks like the woman used a poison to kill the minors before taking her life using a rope,” said Onditi.
The deceased’s husband is said to be a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer deployed in Somalia.
“It’s not clear what motivated the woman to commit this incident but we have collected the bodies and taken them to the Gilgil sub-county hospital mortuary,” he said.
The television set at her home was on said residents, with detectives revealing that a suspected suicide note was found at the scene.
She allegedly accused her husband of neglect though this is yet to be conclusively determined by detectives as the sole reason the 32 year-old committed the unthinkable.
