    Student Charged With Sending Nude Photos To Woman’s Husband

    NAIROBI,Kenya, Feb, 14 – A 21 year old university student has been charged with harrassing the husband of a woman he is alleged to have been involved with romantically after sending him nude and intimate pictures of his wife.

    The accused, Steven Wanjohi Kamande who was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts before Nairobi chief Magistrate Wendy Micheni is alleged to have sent the nude images of Esther Nduta Githinji to her husband, Joel Thuo via Facebook.

    The accused is said to have committed the offence between May,1, 2021 and January,14, 2022 by further using threatening words.

    “Your charged that on the diverse dates at unknown place knowingly published false information to wit “unasemanga uko na bibi” (You say that you have a wife) using your Facebook account Steven Kamande to Joel Thuo Mwangi knowing it to be false and calculated to cause fear and panic to the said Joel and his Family ” read part of the charge sheet.

    The student is facing three counts including distributing the obscene images of Ms Githinji in an a attempt to cause fear to the victim’s wife and family.

    He is also accused of threatening to kill Githinji and her family between May 2021 and January 2022 at Unknown place with the republic of Kenya.

    Kamande pleaded not guilty and was released on a Sh100,000 cash bail.
