NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 24- Hundreds of youth turned up at various centres for national recruitment of police constables on Thursday, across the country.
The National Police Service seeks to recruit up to 5,000 constables. They will undergo a rigorous nine-month period of training starting April 1.
The exercise is being conducted at all constituency headquarters and those being sought for recruitment must be below 27.
Police say they expect an overwhelming turnout in the exercise and have warned against bribery saying it is free.
Several agencies are monitoring the exercise.
