BUNGOMA,Kenya, Apr, 5 – A police officer has been admitted at the Kimilili Sub County Hospital after he allegedly took poison.
According to preliminary reports, the incident was as a result of a suspected case of ‘love gone sour.’
The officer,according to a female colleague, dropped a note at her house indicating he was planning to take his life alleging that life was meaningless.
Ziana Musa, a police constable reported at Kimilili police station that she had found an alleged suicide note at her house authored by her colleague, Mark Barasa.
The police officers both stationed at Kimilili Police Station were in a relationship.
Senior police officers at the station rushed to Namakhele village within Kimilili township about two kilometres west of the station and found Barasa lying on bed having vomited.
A purple solution in a glass was found beside his bed.
The said officer was rushed to Kimilili sub county hospital and admitted in fair condition.
The matter is under investigation before further action is taken against officer for attempted suicide.
