Banditry Attack Leaves 9 Dead In Isiolo

ISIOLO, Kenya, Apr 10- Nine people were killed by bandits in Isiolo, during an attack that has heightened tension in the area.

The incident happened on Friday, police told Shahidi News.

The killings were executed by gunmen believed to be from neighboring Samburu/ The incident happened in broad daylight, at about midday.

Police and witnesses said the deceased were herding their camels at the time of the attack.

Police said eight people died on the spot while the ninth died in hospital.

Four others are in hospital in stable condition.
