MURANG’A, Kenya, Apr, 10 – Police in Nguthuru area, Kandara in Murang’a county have launched investigations into the suspected killing of six family members in a horrific fire incident.
According to preliminary reports, a mother, her three children, and two grandchildren were killed in the inferno where reports further indicated that the house was locked from the outside before being set ablaze.
Attempts by those trapped inside the house to escape proved futile with police saying the fire spread too quickly and with great intensity.

It is alleged that the suspect had moved to the deceased home prior to the incident amidst a suspected domestic dispute.
“The deceased and her sister were constantly arguing amidst a dispute over a family property,” said residents.
The bodies of the deceased are being preserved at the local mortuary.
Nyambura is being detained at the Kabati police station pending arraignment on Monday.
