NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 22- Nairobi county speaker Benson Mutura spent his night in police custody at Muthaiga police station after his arrest in an alleged “case of stealing by a servant.”
This is after he honored summonses to record statements at DCI headquarters.
Mutura had on Wednesday resisted his arrest from his office at the county offices in City Hall.
One of the officers claims he lost his official identification document in the drama that ensued during the incident.
Mutura is likely to face extra charges over the incident.
He is accused of receiving imprests for travels he never made abroad.
