NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 1- Deputy President William Ruto says it is upon leaders to now write new chapters of Kenya’s story, as the country marks the 59th Madaraka Day celebrations.
The DP, who was not given a chance to speak during the celebrations held at the Uhuru Gardens in a Tweet said, “chapters of prosperity and abundance for all; especially ordinary people.”
He added that Kenyans should not forget that they also have a role to play in the years to come in developing the country.
After the event, the Deputy President later went to the Kikuyu constituency in Kiambu County to watch a local football match.
