NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 26 – The National Police Service Commission has announced the promotion of several high-ranking police officers within the national police service.
Among those going up the ranks is National Police Service spokesperson Bruno Shioso who will now be an assistant inspector general of police (AIG).
Meanwhile, Rosemary Kuraru who is Director of Human Capital Development has been promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Inspector General of Police alongside her deputy Robert Murithi who was promoted to the rank of AIG.
Director of Disaster Management, Duncan Ochieng was also promoted to the rank of AIG.
In the announcement made by NPSC, others officers were promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police, Senior Superintendent of Police, and Superintendent of police.
Also promoted to the rank of AIG is Nairobi police boss James Mugera, Rift Valley Regional police commander Tom Odero, Central Regional Police boss Manasseh Musyoka and North Eastern Police boss George Seda.
Judicial Police Unit boss Lazarus Opicho and DCI head of reforms Eliud Langat, Director of the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau Paul Mumo, and Deputy Director of Forensics Margaret Karanja were also promoted to the rank of AIG.
Head of the DCI Academy Ziporah Mboroki and her deputy Amos Omuga were also promoted to the rank of AIG.
Also, notably promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police are Nairobi Regional Criminal Investigations Officer (RCIO) Paul Wachira and his Rift Valley counterpart Isaac Meeme.
Albert Masese, in charge of Peace Support Operations, was also promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police.
