BUNGOMA, Kenya, Aug, 12 – Pioneer Bungoma governor and outgoing speaker of the senate Kenneth Lusaka regained the Bungoma gubernatorial seat after a five-year absence following his previous defeat to Wycliffe Wangamati.
Lusaka who ran on a FORD-Kenya ticket garnered 241,695 while Wangamati who ran on a DAP-K ticket bagged 137,378 votes.
FORD-K party leader and current senator Moses Wetangula regained his seat.
He garnered 286,146 votes.
Woman representative Catherine Wambilianga who also ran on FORD-Kenya ticket also retained her seat after garnering 140,716 votes.
