NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 4- A Kenyan girl has been rescued from her employer in Saudi Arabia, after a public outcry.
This was after sickly images of the girl emerged on social media, sparking a major outrage from Kenyans on social media.
The lady, identified as Diana Chepkemoi had been detained by her employer.
Her family had said Chepkemoi had been put under 24-hour surveillance.
The victim is a University student who had differed her studies, due to lack of school fees.
Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Amb Macharia Kamau said the lady had already been rescued.
Every year, such cases are reported. Some Kenyans have not been lucky as they lost their lives under similar circumstances.
Various well-wishers among them politicians have condemned the latest incident, with some offering to help Chepkemoi pursue her studies.
