It Is The End To Politics Of Deceit, Conmanship- President elect Ruto

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 5- President-elect William Ruto says his victory marks the end of “politics of deceit and conmanship.”

Ruto is seen as a victim of politics of betrayal after President Uhuru Kenyatta abandoned him, and instead supported Raila Odinga- who is the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance leader.

“Every leader must be held to account for what they say,” he said. “We want to have a country based on the rule of law.”

Further, he said his administration will not use the criminal justice system to punish those who hold views against him and his government.

“The criminal justice system will be reserved for fighting criminals…it will never be used again for political reasons,” he said.

“The criminal justice system will never be used against those who have different views from ours…”
