NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 13- Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua says has ruled out having differences with President-elect William Ruto, after their swearing-in.
Ruto has served as Deputy President for 10 years under President Uhuru Kenyatta.
While the two started as a ‘dynamic duo’ in 2013, Ruto and the outgoing President later fell out.
President Kenyatta would later pick Raila Odinga as his preferred successor.
Ahead of their swearing-in, Gachagua said the President-elect, “does not suffer inferiority complex.”
He attributed the Uhuruto fallout to the alleged inferiority complex, on the part of President Kenyatta.
“Mine is to support the President,” he said. “Mine is to make sure the roles he assigns me are implemented with military precision. Luckily, for Dr. William Ruto, he is a good listener.”
