NEW YORK, Kenya, Sept, 21 – President William Ruto who is in the United States and is slated to address the United Nations General Assembly has urged American businesspersons to invest in the country.
Ruto has pledged to create a conducive working environment saying Kenya is ready to spur its own economic growth while creating employment for millions of youth in the process.
During the meeting dubbed, the US-Kenya Executive roundtable discussion, Ruto reassured the American business community that as a member of the global community, the preparation of peace is at the center of his administration’s policy.
The meeting was being hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce.
“Kenya is open for increased business with the USA. A conducive and enabling business environment will be a focus area of my administration to spur domestic and foreign direct investments to create jobs and wealth,” said Ruto.
The president was also a guest of honour at the Africa Investment Partnerships Forum hosted by the United Nations Development Programme.
