NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct, 11 – Former Turkana Governor Joseph Nanok has been State House Comptroller by president William Ruto.
Nanok, who was a former Raila Odinga loyalist having been elected governor twice through the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party, before falling out with the former premier, was in charge of Ruto’s presidential campaign team.
He served as his Director General.
Nanok also spearheaded Ruto’s economic forums nationwide where he served as chief coordinator.
The former governor is said to have been integral in developing political, economic, and social strategies alongside others, ultimately securing Ruto’s win as president.
Nanok will now be in charge of president Ruto’s, diary, itinerary and will also serve as the accounting officer of State House.
The inaugural Nakuru former governor Kinuthis Mbugua served as State House comptroller in Uhuru’s final term in office.
Meanwhile, former Cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei has been appointed as President Ruto’s Chief of Staff.
He was appointed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta as Agriculture and Livestock CS in his inaugural cabinet.
His stint at the crucial docket was however short-lived after he was suspended over corruption allegations.
Koskei was however cleared by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) amid insufficient evidence. He was cleared of allegedly illegally allocating sugar import permits and allowing the cultivation of 100-acre piece of government land.
