LAIKIPIA, Kenya, Oct, 15 – President William Ruto on Friday marked his first Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) day which was commemorated at the Laikipia Air Base.
Ruto inspected a guard of honor before laying a commemorative wreath at the Air Base’s monument honoring falling troops who dedicated their lives to great service to the country.
The Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces was then treated to an air display by the Kenya Air Force aircraft static display.
Ruto in his speech hailed the military for their dedication to the country further calling on them to broaden their scope of work beyond defense and security.
He reiterated that their collective efforts would take the country to the next level.
”You have seized the opportunity of engaging with the citizenry as a platform to articulate our aspirations. Now, you should put your workshops to work for the greater national effort,” said Ruto.
