NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov, 2 – The Head of the Public Service Felix Koskei has released the names of persons nominated to serve as Principal Secretaries across the various ministries after they were approved by president William Ruto.
The list will now be sent to the National assembly for consideration and approval.
“It is notified that his excellency President William Ruto following the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, has on this second day of November 2022 caused nominator, to the ranks of Principal Secretaries. The Presidential Action is pursuant to Article 155 (3)(a) of the Constitution. By dint of the Executive Action, the nominations have been transmitted to the National Assembly for the consideration and approval by Parliament in accordance with the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act (No. 33 of 2011),” read s section of the notice by Koskei.
The nominees for appointment to the rank of Principal Secretaries in various State Departments are as follows:
Julius Korir has been nominated to the Office of the Deputy President and is expected to serve in the State Department for Cabinet Affairs. Teresia Mbaika Malokwe has been nominated to the State Department for Devolution.
In the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Esther Ngero has been appointed in the State Department for Performance and Delivery Management while Aurelia Rono has been appointed in the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs.
In the Ministry of Interior & National Administration,Raymond Omollo has been appointed as PS State Department for Interior and National Administration, Caroline Nyawira Murage has been nominated as PS State Department for Correctional Services while Amb. (Prof.) Julius Bitok has been nominated as PS State Department for Citizen Services.
In The Ministry of The National Treasury & Economic Planning, Dr. Chris Kiptoo has been nominated as PS The National Treasury, James Muhati has been nominated as PS State Department for Economic Planning.
In the Defense Ministry, Patrick Mariro has been appointed as PS.
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Diaspora Affairs Dr. Korir Sing’oei has been appointed as PS State Department for Foreign Affairs while Roseline Njogu is in the State Department for Diaspora.
In the Ministry of Public Service, Gender & Affirmative Action Amos Gathecha has been nominated as PS State Department for Public Service while Veronica Mueni Nduva will serve in the State Department for Gender & Affirmative Action.
In the Ministry of Roads & Transport Joseph Mungai Mbugua has been nominated as PS state Department for Roads and Mohammed Dhagar, state Department for Transport.
In the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing & Urban Development Former Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir has been appointed as PS in the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning.
Charles Hinga has been nominated as PS In the State Department for housing and Urban Development while Joel Arumonyang as been nominated to the State Department for Public Works.
