NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 14 – The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction of fuel prices by Sh1, effective from November 15.
The new prices will be in place for the next 30 days when the authority will announce new prices on December 14. The prices may rise, reduce or remain the same.
EPRA says that the reduction is a result of a decrease in the average landed cost of imported super petrol, adding that the government maintained a subsidy of Sh17.68 per litre of kerosene to cushion Kenyans from high prices.
In Nairobi, a litre of petrol will retail at Sh177.30, diesel (Sh162.00) and kerosene (Sh145.94).
