NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 15 – Adamson Bungei is the new Nairobi Police Boss in changes announced by the Inspector-General of Police Japheth Koome on Monday, November 14.
Bungei has been the Baringo Police Boss where he was moved after briefly serving as Sub-County Police Commander in Turkana. He once served as the Sub-County Police Commander in Buruburu and Central.
He will take over from Manasse Musyoka who had been named as a replacement for James Mugera who retired from the service.
Koome is the changes also moved Jacinta Muthoni to serve as the director of personnel at police headquarters, Vigilance House and Munga Nyale to Kenya Police Headquarters, where he will be the Director of Police Reforms.
Abdallah Komesha who had been moved to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters as the Head of Personnel will now be the Principal Deputy to the IG taking over from Nyale.
Judy Lamet who was the Director of Child Protection Unit at Vigilance House was promoted to serve as the Deputy Director of Police operations.
Boniface Maingi who was the National Police Service Director of Personnel is now the Director of Operations taking over from Rashid Yakub who was deployed to be the director of Community Policing.
