NAIROBI, Kenyan, Nov 28 – Internal Security Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kindiki Kithure on has warned criminals who have been terrorising Kenyans in Nairobi’s CBD that they should leave or they will face the full force of the law.

Kindiki speaking during his tour of the city to assess the security situation said that the government would hunt criminals from wherever they may be hiding.

He was accompanied by Nairobi’s top security chiefs led by Police boss Adamson Bungei.

“I am putting the criminals on notice that if they don`t abandon their criminal activities they better leave the city,” he said.

He said that the government would not negotiate with any criminals, saying that they are enemies of development, adding that since the government went tough on them the number of crime cases had reduced drastically.

“We now have many patrols in the city by police in both uniform and plainclothes who are doing a good job in reducing the crime rate,” he said.

Kindiki said that the city was free for everyone including politicians who may want to hold rallies, the assurance comes days before the planned protests by the Azimio la Umoja coalition over the removal of four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners.

“Politicians can go on with their rallies but ensure they maintain law and order,” said the CS.
