KIAMBU, Kenya Dec 5 -The decomposing body of a man who was suffering from depression and went missing two months ago was on Monday found inside a borehole within their compound in Rweno, Kiambaa.

Pharice Kinuthia Muchiri reported that as they were cleaning their old borehole, they came across the body of hitherto unknown male adult.

Detectives and family members visited the scene and the body was positively identified the deceased person as Benard Njuguna, aged 30.

The mother, Jane Waitherero, told the detectives that deceased was suffering from depression and went missing about two months ago. The body was transferred to the City Mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Police in Kikuyu have also launched investigations to establish the identity and cause of death of two people whose bodies were found dumped in the area.

Members of the public reported that there were two bodies lying along the Kikuyu-Dagoreti road. Officers who visited the scene said the bodies had pieces of clothes tied around their necks and also had visible injuries

“There were traces of sand on their feet, an indication that they could have been murdered elsewhere before their bodies are dumped at the scene,” the local police commander said.

Elsewhere in Mihango, Njiru Sub-County, detectives are also investigating the cause of death of a man whose body was found at a food kiosk on Tuesday morning. The kiosk owner, Alice Nanjala, reported that she found the body without any physical injuries lying dead at her kiosk and she informed the police.
