NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 11 – President William Ruto has said that his administration will use the Police and the Military to plant 10 million trees in Nairobi City in the ongoing environmental conservation efforts.
Ruto issued the directive on Wednesday, January 11, during the pass-out of 1995 recruits at the Administration Police Training College in Embakasi, Nairobi.
He said the program would also see the Nairobi County Government, the Ministry of Environment and Kenya Forestry Services come on board to expedite the exercise.
He also directed the training college in Embakasi to ensure that the recruits who recently joined the service have planted trees within the college.
The targetted 10 million trees will majorly be done in the Eastlands parts of the city.
