NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 1 – Celebrated Kenyan Journalist Francis Gachuri has resigned from Royal Media Services to join the Interior Ministry as the Secretary of Strategic Communications.
Gachuri who until his appointment was Citizen TV political editor leaves the company after 16 years of service.
He was also the host of Inooro TV’s Kiririmbi political talk show, as well as a cast member of the popular News Gang commentary show.
He expressed his gratitude for the many experiences, lessons and opportunities he has had in the industry, and thanked the company owners, Chairman SK Macharia and Vice-Chair Mrs Macharia, as well as Managing Director Wachira Waruru and other directors such as Linus Kaikai, Fred Afune, Latifah Ngunjiri, Moses Karanja, Micheal Ngugi and Carol Wanyama for their guidance through the years.
He will be leaving the station at the end of the week.
