KERICHO Kenya May 11 -Detectives have arrested a Police Constable who allegedly defiled and impregnated a 15-year-old girl in Kipkelion, Kericho County.
Constable Felix Shiundu of Barsielle police post was on Thursday May 11 after arrested preliminary investigations linked him to the heinous act.
The minor had earlier gone missing and was on Thursday found at Kaplong in Litein.
She was taken to Kipkelion and upon interrogation, she revealed that she had been in a sexual relationship with the officer adding that she had also conceived.
She further revealed that the officer took her to Kisumu where she aborted. The officer then escorted her to Litein and put her in another vehicle to Kaplong where she was traced and brought back.
The minor was taken to hospital for examination and the officer is expected to be charged in court with defilement and aiding in procuring abortion.
In April, another officer from Cheplanget police station in the same county was arrested for defiling another minor inside a police cell.
The girl, who was arrested following a disagreement with the mother, claimed that on the second day of her detention, one of the officers on duty raped her.
According to the investigation report, the incident is said to have happened on July 5, 2022.
