NAIROBI Kenya January 30 -The 20-year-old woman who was on Sunday stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Nairobi was the elder sister a boy who were brutally murdered by the self-confessed serial killer, the late Masten Wanjala, in October 2021.
Serah Nzula Musyoki was found with several stab wounds on her chest in her house on Sunday night long after the attack, according to the police.
Tragedy has struck twice for the family of Felista Wayua, who has been left heartbroken after tragically losing two of her children in a period of less than three years, both in very brutal ways.
Wayua’s daughter, Nzula, is said to have had a fight with the boyfriend, leading to their separation. The man got angry and would occasionally send the girl threatening messages, according to the police.
The matter was reported to the police and investigations launched but he managed to attack and seriously injure her, before he could be arrested.
Police said the attacker, aged 22, is still at large and efforts to trace him are ongoing.
In October 2021, the remains of Wayua’s 12-year-old son Junior Mutuku Musyoki, who disappeared on July 7, 2021 was found alongside that of Charles Opindo Bala were found in Githaruru in Kabete where they had been dumped after being abducted from Majengo.
The two had been murdered by Wanjala who later contacted Musyoki’s mother demanding a Sh50,000 ransom for her son’s freedom. She reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Wanjala had once been remanded at Kabete Approved School for truancy, hence his thorough knowledge of the area where the three bodies were recovered.
Investigations revealed that Wanjala, who has killed a total of 13 people, and he also confessed to have been kidnapping and killing children in shocking detailed information.
In his earlier statement, Wanjala a former remandee at the Kabete Approved School, admitted to killing at least ten children in Nairobi and Bungoma counties.
The vampire escaped from Jogoo police station on the day he was to be arraigned for several murder charges.
He was on October 15, 2021 lynched by mob in Kabuchai, Bungoma County where he travelled to after escaping from custody.
